Somerset Parent Carer Forum holds a library of nearly 100 resource books, videos and games that we loan to parent carers, their families and practitioners free of charge. The forum library contains books on a variety of subjects including:
- Epilepsy
- Anxiety
- Selective Mutism
- Autism
- OCD
- ADHD
- Dyslexia and Dyscalculia
- Eating disorders
- Self Injury
- Supporting teenagers with anxiety and emotions
- Bereavement
- Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
- Cerebral palsy
- Down Syndrome
Borrowing resources is easy to do. It’s free for all members, either call or email us with your book choice and you can pick it up from the office or one of our support groups. If you can’t get to the office we will either find a drop off point or we will post it out to you. If you’re not a member, it’s easy to join and it’s free. Email or call us for more information.
Somerset Parent Carer Forum is an independent not for profit community interest company formed by parent carers in 2016. The forum feels passionately about ensuring all our children have the best chance in life, and receive the correct support and services in order to achieve their full potential.
