Empowering Children and Families

NeuroConnect is a not-for-profit, therapeutic family support agency based in the South West, established by Catherine Eveness in 2023.

We are a neurodivergent lead organisation committed to supporting children’s and families’ mental health and emotional wellbeing. To achieve this, we work directly with children and their parents or carers, and with all professionals involved in supporting families. We provide therapeutic support, psychoeducation and training, to strengthen relationships and build parents’ confidence. We are proud to be neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and inclusive in our approach. We value lived experience within our team.

Our focus

At NeuroConnect, we focus on supporting families affected by neurodivergence or developmental trauma, and on equipping other professionals supporting such families. Our support includes:

• offering expert, neuroaffirming, therapeutic support to improve children’s and parents’ mental health
• helping parents develop confidence in supporting their children’s emotional wellbeing
• supporting adoptive, fostered and kinship families to strengthen relationships between children and their primary carers
• partnering with community organisations to enable them to provide wellbeing support for families
• supporting other professionals in providing neuroaffirming therapeutic approaches and training

We work with

• Families to identify their children’s needs and then offer therapeutic support to help meet those needs
• Community, helping community organisations to develop group-based child and family therapy
• Professionals, consulting on how best to support children’s holistic wellbeing from a neuroaffirming perspective.
• Other organisations to provide training around our approaches, supervision and peer support.
