Description

Somerset Partnership NHS Trust has launched an innovative, countywide project commissioned by Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people aged 11 to 18 years across middle and secondary schools of Somerset together with children attending PRUs and Special Schools. The project is to promote good mental health and increase knowledge of the tools available to support those with needs, upskill staff to identify early signs of emerging mental health conditions and how to signpost to other services. This will provide young people and their families seamless access to high quality evidence based interventions for the most vulnerable young people. The service is co-located with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based at Foundation House in Taunton and consists of a team lead as well as liaison and project workers.
