AFK
Equipment and adaptations, Information, advice and guidance, Life skills, Training and employmentDescription
AFK (formerly Action For Kids) is a national charity supporting disabled children, young people and their families.
Here’s some of the information you can find on their website.
Note on name change: After consulting with lots of the families that they work with, they decided to drop the word ‘kids’ from their brand. Although they do still support children, they felt that ‘kids’ didn’t fit when talking about their work more broadly, especially the older students and trainees in their education and employment programmes.
They wanted to recognise their supporters’ loyalty to Action For Kids over the past 30 years, which is why they are keeping the name ‘AFK’. For more information about the charity, visit their About us page.
