Cannington Neighbourhood Plan Examination

The former Sedgemoor District Council previously approved the designation of the Neighbourhood Area for Cannington on 24 September 2013.

The Cannington Neighbourhood Plan was formally submitted to Somerset Council on 18 October 2024. Somerset Council was satisfied that the submission met the requirements of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended). In accordance with those regulations, Somerset Council publicised the Plan for a period of six weeks from 1 November 2024 to 13 December 2024. The independent examination is now underway.
