Imogen was struggling with her mental health which led to her being admitted to hospital. She was also struggling with school, anxiety, feeling low and friendships.

Following a referral to Young Somerset’s Jigsaw Project she worked with a youth worker having 1:1 sessions to help regulate her emotions and build confidence. After that work had ended, Imogen felt she could just do with a bit extra support transitioning to college – so was referred to the We’ve Got This project and was supported through the summer to help look at options for the future, continuing to build confidence and look at positive coping techniques for when she was feeling anxious.

Imogen says, “I feel like me again, something I didn’t know was possible. The support has been amazing and I have met some lovely people for example; Becky from Jigsaw and Jen from We’ve Got This whom have both provided me with that option of always having someone to rely on, like a mentor almost.”

She is now attending college full time and recently attended the World championships in Austria for Kickboxing – achieving a silver and bronze. Imogen worked part time to save the money for this trip so she could take her mum along too. Imogen has a more positive outlook on life and is thriving. Her resilience and hard work is amazing, and she should be as proud as we are at how far she has come.
