The Pre-assessment Pathway for Neurodiversity Interventions: Graduated Response has been updated!
The document has been used by SENCOs in line with Somerset’s Graduated Response Tool for several years now. Sources of information, and possible intervention, have recently been reviewed and updated.
Its purpose is to outline possible interventions, which after careful screening for special education needs, should be implemented in school immediately rather than wait for a possible diagnosis. These are handily grouped by area of need:
- Developmental trauma including adverse family/childhood experiences
- Emotional Regulation/Emotional Literacy
- Learning
- Sensory Processing
- Social Communication/Speech and Language
- Attention and Concentration
