Somerset Council and Lendology CIC are thrilled to announce their recent recognition at the Somerset Business Awards 2024.
Lendology received the Environmental and Sustainability Award, recognising their commitment to assisting homeowners and supporting sustainability in Somerset.
Somerset Council have worked in partnership with B Corp lender Lendology CIC since 2005. The partnership delivers loans to homeowners to spread the cost of essential repairs to their home, or to invest in carbon reducing technology such as solar panels and battery storage.
Councillor Federica Smith-Roberts, Executive Lead Member for Communities, Housing and Culture, commented,
“It is great to receive the award for the work that the partnership between Somerset Council and Lendology CIC undertakes. I regularly hear the challenges that residents face in being able to not just keep their homes warm at low costs but also to put in measures that make their homes more sustainable. A huge thank you to all those involved in this work and I encourage those who want to find out more to visit www.lendology.org.uk.”
Emma Lower, Chief Executive of Lendology CIC, said,
“This award reflects the hard work of our team and the success of our partnership with Somerset Council. Together, we aim to make homes safer, warmer, and more sustainable, ensuring a brighter future for Somerset residents.
As Somerset moves towards a greener, more sustainable future, the partnership between Somerset Council and Lendology continues to grow stronger. Together, they are assisting local homeowners, promoting sustainable living practices, and making positive changes in the community.
