The Fit for Work Program aims to help adults with disabilities get ready for employment. It offers a 10-week program, with sessions lasting 2 hours each week.

Coaches will focus on various sports and strength and conditioning training to prepare participants physically. The main goal is to enhance employability and support individuals in being fit for the workplace by improving physical stamina, functional movement, soft skills, and overall wellbeing. Fit for Work also provides an opportunity for participants to socialise, stay active, and have fun.

Next Steps and Opportunities

At the end of each course, attendees have access to various next-step opportunities, including volunteering and employment options with local employers. They are also guided towards other programs to continue their physical activity journeys with ongoing support. For instance, five participants from the Bridgwater course have been nominated for the Move to Include Program to further their fitness journeys.
