Somerset Council is putting a number of road closures and parking restrictions in place for the funeral of Barnaby Webber on Friday 14 July, in Taunton Minster, St Mary Magdalene Church.

With the potential for significant numbers of people wanting to pay their respects to Barnaby and to ensure the smooth running of the service, which takes place at 11.30am, it will be necessary to temporarily close the following roads from 10am to 2pm:

• Magdalene Street
• Church Square
• Whirligig Lane
• Hammet Street

All parking along these streets will be suspended for the duration of the event, as well as access to and from Whirligig Car Park.

Signage will be in place to remind residents and road users of the restrictions – we would encourage the public to please plan ahead.

Somerset Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and sincerely appreciates the cooperation of the public and your support in ensuring the event is a respectful and dignified tribute to Barnaby.
