Somerset Council’s highways teams are resurfacing between A356 South Street and Station Road in Crewkerne next week.

The resurfacing work is due to start on Monday 14 August and will last for three evenings; the road will need to be closed between 6.30pm and 11pm until Wednesday 16 August so the work can be completed.

Councillor Mike Rigby, Somerset Council’s Executive Lead Member for Transport and Digital said:

“This section of Station Road is in need of repair.

“Doing the work in the summer holidays under an evening closure gives us the best chance of completing this work safely and efficiently, but please plan ahead as there could be short-term disruption.”

Access for residents and businesses in the immediate area will be maintained throughout and a diversion will be in place, with full details available nearer the time on the Council’s Roadworks and travel information webpage.
