The Autism and ADHD SENCO Discussion Group met on the 26 February to explore the theme of reasonable adjustments for neurodivergent children and young people, led by Educational Psychology.
They talked about what is meant by reasonable adjustments, and how school policies can support this. Looking at the social model of disability and using a relational approach, particularly for behaviour policies and approaches. Lots of examples of universal reasonable adjustments in action were shared.
SENCOs who missed this session have the chance to view a recording at www.somerset.gov.uk/autism-and-adhd-senco-discussion-group.
