Whether you are newly separated or have been co-parenting for a while, maintaining a straightforward co-parenting relationship with your ex-partner can be challenging. We are here to help.
Ruth James, the Reducing Parental Conflict Coordinator at Somerset Council, has organised monthly, relaxed, and supportive online Parenting Cafés for separated parents. In these sessions, she will share her top tips for a successful co-parenting relationship, including communication strategies, helping your children navigate separation/divorce, and managing handovers.
Two Cafés/courses always run around the same time so that separated parents can attend different sessions. As long as one parent lives in Somerset, this course is free to attend.

Week 1: Managing family emotions in high-conflict situations
Week 2: Reducing conflict as you transition to single parenting
Week 3: Building resilience in yourself and your children
Week 4: Developing a calm, collaborative co-parenting relationship
Week 5: Helping your child cope with the separation
