The new National Professional Qualification for SENCOs, is replacing the NASENCO qualification.

The NPQ for SENCOs is mandatory from September 2024 for named SENCOs and new SENCOs will need to complete this qualification within the first three years in the role.

To apply, you must be a current or aspiring SENCO, or a school leader such as a senior leader or headteacher.

As a delivery partner of Ambition Institute, the Five Counties Teaching School Hubs Alliance is working to deliver DfE accredited specialist and leadership NPQ programmes which includes the new NPQ for SENCOs.

Cohorts run in early autumn and from Easter each year.

The next NPQ cohorts will be starting in the October 2024. Applications open in early July 2024 and close in early September 2024.
