County Hall in Taunton is lighting up blue to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
On Wednesday 5th July, the Somerset Council building will be joining other iconic and historic monuments across the nation, including the London Eye, Blackpool illuminations and Wembley Arch, along with many hospitals, sport stadiums and civic centres.
The NHS has been in operation since 1948 when it became the first universal healthcare system to be available to all, free at point of delivery. Somerset Council is proud to work alongside the NHS as part of an Integrated Care System to deliver joined-up services supporting young and old and helping to reduce health inequalities in Somerset.
