Save the date for Christmas shopping on Saturday 14 December, as Somerset Council brings back the annual celebrated Christmas market in Wells. 

‘Christmas in Wells’ will take place on Saturday 14th December, 9am-3pm, in Wells Market Place and on the Bishop’s Palace Green.  

Soak up the mulled apple juice, merry music and festivities at ‘Christmas in Wells’ market, organised by the Somerset Council’s Mendip Markets team, will feature over 100 stalls in the Market Place and on the beautiful Bishop’s Palace Green. 

Enjoy a festive day filled with seasonal gifts, local food and drink, live music, and entertainment in the heart of the scenic city centre and glorious Bishops Palace Green. 

The Council is dedicated to delivering a successful event and invites residents and visitors to join the festivities, enjoy the ‘Christmas in Wells’ magic, and support stall holders at this important trading time.

Wells markets are an important part of the city’s community, directly supporting small local businesses and playing a part in creating its bustling atmosphere. The Christmas market is a fantastic way to celebrate and support our communities and businesses.
