Essential maintenance work is being carried out by Somerset Council on the B3227 Sandy’s Moor Roundabout in Wiveliscombe.
The Council’s contractor Heidelberg Materials will be resurfacing the road from Thursday 13 June to 19 June and there will need to be a closure in place for the safety of the public and workforce.
To ensure disruption is minimised work will take place in the evenings only 6.30pm to 11.30pm during these dates, with the road reopened at all other times. The road will be open 24 hours a day over the weekend.
A Council spokesperson said:
We understand this will have an impact on road users and residents which is why we are doing the work in the evenings. Our team will do everything they can to minimise disruption.
It’s important we carry out this work as the road is showing signs of wear and tear.
A diversion will be in place while the road is closed. You can find information via the Council’s Roadworks and travel information webpage.
You can get travel updates from @TravelSomerset on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).
If you spot a problem on the road, you can report it quickly and easily via the Council’s Report a problem on the road webpage.
