Somerset Council will undertake resurfacing works Preston Road in Yeovil next week.

The resurfacing works will take place from Monday 17 July to Friday 21 July. These works will be undertaken under an evening road closure from 6.30pm to 11.30pm. The works will be closed during these hours and a diversion route will be signed.

The closure will stretch 310 metres, from the junction with Abbots Mead past St James Park.

A Somerset Council spokesperson said: “We understand these works will cause disruption but undertaking them during the night-time will mitigate its impact on the community.

“Access for residents will be maintained during the evenings.”
