Essential maintenance work is being carried out by Somerset Council on the B3190 next week.

Drainage work is being done on a section of the road through Sticklepath from Monday 22 July, to Friday 26 July.

A closure is needed 24/7 because an open trench needs to be dug to repair a damaged pipe and the road is not wide enough to do this under temporary traffic lights.

Access will be maintained throughout for homes and businesses in the immediate area. A diversion will be in place, for more details visit one.network/?GB139524292.

Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Transport and Digitial, Councillor Richard Wilkins said:

It’s important we do these repairs before the autumn and winter.

We appreciate this will cause disruption and the team will do everything they can to minimise this for residents and businesses.
