Essential maintenance works with a night time road closure will take place on the A37 in Barwick and Stoford next month.

The Council’s highways team will be resurfacing the A37 Keyford roundabout from Monday 2 September to Friday 6 September.

To minimise disruption the work is being done overnight between 6pm and 7.30am, with a road closure in place during these hours.

Access will be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency services throughout, however some delays and inconvenience can be expected.

A signed diversion will be in place during the road closure with further information available via the Council’s Roadworks and travel information page and Causeway One.network.

Councillor Richard Wilkins, Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Transport and Digital, said:

Resurfacing is an essential part of our programme maintenance schedule.

To minimise disruption these works will be done out of peak hours during the night as we appreciate this will have an impact on local traffic. Please plan ahead if using this route.

The team will do everything they can to complete this scheme ahead of schedule.
