Market trader information and guidance on how to trade at a Somerset market

IntroductionNew tradersOur marketsMarket rightsTrader information and documents

Introduction

We operate and manage weekly stall markets in Somerset. These markets sell Somerset produce, food and drink, crafts and a range of general items. In addition, a Christmas market takes place in Wells leading up to the festive season.

New traders

We are always looking out for new traders who can offer something different at our markets.

In particular, we would like to hear from producers of good food. Due to Glastonbury and Wells markets currently being oversubscribed, we are unable to accept or process applications to trade at these markets, we are only able to accept applications from traders who wish to trade on a casual basis.

If you are interested in trading on a casual basis at either of these markets please contact the markets team at markets.east@somerset.gov.uk.

We do have regular and casual pitches available at Frome, Shepton Mallet and Street markets, and are accepting applications from traders to trade at these markets.

When pitches become available at Glastonbury or Wells markets, we will update this notice accordingly.
