Description

Explore this ancient woodland meandering along nature trails spotting roe deer, woodland birds and butterflies.

From the hide watch nesting herons in spring and listen to the cacophony they create.

Please note that dogs on leads are only allowed on the scarp trail and are not permitted on other parts of the reserve.

Open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.

Car parking: 12 spaces, 1 Blue Badge space. Spaces in main car park all firm, flat, bare ground.

Spaces in over flow car park all gravel surface.

Nature trails access:

  • Scarp Trail, 1 mile (1.8 km). Steep in places and can be muddy after rain. One stile.
  • Woodland Trail 0.75 mile (900 m), with a viewpoint overlooking West Sedgemoor. Part of this trail is level and smooth. No steps, gates or other width restrictions.

Dogs: Assistance Dogs welcome at all times. Other dogs on leads welcome on the Scarp Trail only.
