Description

Blake Gardens is in a prime location in Bridgwater Town Centre near Bridgwater Library and Blake Museum. It is a good surviving example of a simple municipal garden from the late Victorian/Edwardian period. The Public Gardens were opened on 9th August 1902 as part of the town’s coronation celebrations.

The gardens feature a bandstand, seating, large areas of open space and formal bed planting. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

Combatting anti-social behaviour in and around Bridgwater’s Blake Gardens continues to be a priority for Avon and Somerset Police and Somerset Council. If you witness anti-social behaviour, please phone the anti-social behaviour hotline on 0800 298 2009 or report using the Anti-social behaviour – Report it here form.

For more information phone 0300 123 2224.
