Community Library Partnerships are run by a community partner in collaboration with us

Community Library Partnerships are libraries in Somerset that are managed and run by a community partner. Such as a charitable trust or Parish/Town Council, in collaboration with Somerset Council.

Some of these libraries are only run by volunteers recruited from the local community. Some are run by a mixture of volunteers and Somerset Council library staff, and others are a fully staffed service.

Community Libraries offer the same range of library services as those only run by Somerset Council. Further development, such as increased events and activities, community engagement and promotion, is a key goal of each partnership.
