What will I be doing?
As an ASCP in the service, you will hold a pivotal role in our safeguarding triage team.
Responding to and supporting immediate safeguarding adult protection plans arrangements and gathering information to support our safeguarding decision making for the enquiries that come into the Safeguarding Service. This work involves making contact with people and their networks to understand their circumstances and to help us determine the best way to respond. Gathering information and analysing this information to support work to keep people safe.
The work of triage is fundamental to the service as it determines at an early stage our engagement with people.

We encourage applicants from people with experience of working in the social care field, who have some knowledge of working with people who may be experiencing abuse, who have good communication skills.
There is an element of office based working as well as working independently from home.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

- Previous experience of working with people in a social care setting/role.
- An interest in working with people and understanding what matters to them.
- Enthusiasm to support people to achieve positive outcomes and working in partnership with the community and their networks.
- Be responsive, have strong interpersonal skills.
- Access to/use of a vehicle which is an essential requirement for this role.

This is a Grade 12 post with a current salary of £27,711 to £31,067 per annum.
Appointments are normally made at the bottom of the salary scale.
We are flexible when it comes to interviews as these can be conducted in person, or virtually over MS Teams.

Investment
We have recently invested £1.4m into our workforce. As a result, we have substantially increased the number of social work, occupational therapy, advanced practitioner and other leadership posts. We’ve also increased; Adult Social Care Practitioner roles, introduced Occupational Therapy Assistants and strengthened our Business Support.
