What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Collate and manage key data sets across Environmental Health & Licensing e.g. analysing data to ascertain whether internal targets are being met, reporting on KPI’s and responding to statutory returns from external bodies.
  • Act as point of contact for Ombudsman complaints, corporate complaints, investigating, collating and respond to them in a timely manner.
  • Manage and responding to Freedom of Information Act requests. Assigning them to an appropriate team member and monitoring their return to ensure a timely response.
  • Be the system administrator for Civic and Assure dealing with any programme related queries, ensuring that any system upgrades are carried out and being responsible for data validation.
  • Assist the Service Managers with budget profiling and trend analysis to aid budget monitoring, income review and be the lead on finance for the service.

 

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • An ability to be highly organised and self-motivated
  • A reliability and a willingness to take on new tasks and learn new skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Meticulous working with a strong drive for accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and SharePoint.
