  • Permanent, full time (37 hours per week) 

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of children and young people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of training courses within the Council’s Curriculum and Training Service
• Coordinating with course tutors, booking venues and handling booking enquiries
• Maintaining accurate records
• Ensuring the Training Portal is up to date with upcoming courses and attendance registers
• Communicating with a range of schools, settings and other external educational organisations

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience of working in an office environment and/or administration role
  • Experience in coordinating events or training courses
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of data management and record-keeping
  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent to grade 4/C or above including English and Maths
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
