- The role will be based at our Wellington Depot in Somerset and you will be required to work in empty and tenanted properties.
- 28 days annual leave entitlement (not inc. bank holidays).
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Providing a high-quality repair diagnosis and maintenance service to both occupied and empty properties.
- Responsibility for ensuring that all scheduled repairs are attended to within the agreed timeslot, completed right first-time thus reducing the need for follow up visits.
- Ensuring the correct van stock to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Being part of the out of hours service, providing evening and weekend cover, if required.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Have relevant qualifications in the build environment / construction for example: BTEC or equivalent Level 2 building or multi skilled maintenance operatives’ level 3, or equivalent experience.
- Have good multi-skill abilities to carry out other trade work.
- Can use technology to complete repairs, carry out risk assessments and order materials.
- Have an up-to-date knowledge of Building Regulations, Water Regulations and Health and Safety.
