  • No specific progression as this is a fixed role but an opportunity to have a positive impact on the Town Centre and serve as an ambassador

  • Salary range: £26,421- £29,777 per annum
  • Part time working may be considered.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Daily patrols of the town centre as part of an experienced and welcoming team.
  • Working with both internal and external agencies to improve the community and develop personal and professional skills
  • Engage with and problem solve issues that affect individuals and local business. (e.g Anti Social Behaviour)

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • The postholder will have a GCSE in English and Maths (grade A-C) or equivalent.
  • The post-holder must have at least two years’ experience in an off-site visiting, enforcing and inspection role.
  • Conflict management, problem solving and experience of dealing with complex individuals and situations.
  • The post-holder must possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft systems and databases.
  • Experience of writing statements and drafting warnings and legal proceeding.
