What will I be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and motivated individual to join our Business Support Team within Adult Social Care as a Business Support Assistant. You will be part of a small, friendly and supportive team with many years of experience working within Adult Social Care.  As well as receiving a robust and comprehensive induction programme, you will have opportunities to meet with and receive peer support from colleagues across the service areas.

We’re working to improve the lives of people here in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Providing an administrative and business support service to operational colleagues often dealing with sensitive and/or confidential matters.
  • Using a variety of I.T applications and case management systems.
  • Minute taking for a range of meetings.
  • Data recording and analysis

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Are educated to GCSE level including English and Maths Grade C/4 or equivalent and have significant relevant office experience within an administrative role.
  • Can flourish in a fast-paced environment and prioritise work to meet changing deadlines.
  • Have working experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Are an excellent communicator with a flexible, positive, and committed attitude.
