  • Flexible working available, using a hybrid model - working from home and your contracted workbase.
  • 25 days Annual leave, raising to 28 days after 5 years of service
  • You will undertake a range of administrative tasks, and support both senior managers and a broad range of boards, service management and casework meetings within Corporate and Children’s Services.
  • Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2025

 

What will I be doing?

We are looking for a fixed term Senior Business Support Assistant to join our team.

We’re working to improve the lives of children in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. You will have:

  • a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams & OneNote
  • experience of taking action points/ minutes at high profile meetings
  • good organisational and communication skills
  • experience of working with colleagues to tackle challenges and resolve problems

You will also be customer focused, able to manage changing priorities and be accurate in your work.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • are educated to GCSE level including English and Maths or hold an NVQ level 3/QCF Level 2 standard or equivalent
  • have experience of working in an office environment and/or administration role.
  • have sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications in particular Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, including a competent level of numeracy and literacy.
  • have experience of customer service.
