We run a series of planned maintenance programmes so we can make sure everything in your home is safe and in working order such as installing new kitchens, central heating, windows and roofs.

Find out when your home will be improved

For the year 2023/24, we are looking to provide improvements such as:  

  • 226 bathrooms 
  • 438 kitchens  
  • 152 roofs 
  • 250 windows 
  • 254 heating improvements  
  • 103 doors 

We will always start the process by writing to you and informing you of the planned works for your home.   

We will follow this up with a visit to your home to carry out a validation survey before any work begins.

Do you have to have the work done?

Some of the repairs have to be done, though we will try to be as flexible as we can when arranging times to carry out the work. 

Essential jobs include: 

  • health and safety maintenance, such as rewiring your home or carrying out fire safety works 
  • work that’s needed to prevent further damage to your home, such as roof repairs 

Kitchen and bathroom improvements are not essential. You can choose not to have them although you will be asked to sign a disclaimer form. If you change your mind in the future, it may take time to rearrange the work. 

Disruption to you and your home

Depending on the type of work, we will need access to your home from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. If we need access outside of these times, we will agree this with you. 

Sometimes your gas, water or electricity might need to be turned off for long periods of time. We will always turn it back on at the end of the day or temporary services will be provided. If this is likely to cause any difficulties, for example if you have any medical conditions, then you must let us know. 

If you have a problem with the work, then you should let us or the contractor who is doing the work know.  We will try to resolve any problems as quickly as possible. 

If you are not satisfied, then you can make a complaint or give feedback.
