Introduction

Somerset Council are supporting local Dementia Action Alliances and Dementia Friends Champions in working towards making Somerset dementia friendly. They do this by raising awareness of the condition and promoting support for people living with dementia, their families, and carers.

Dementia Action Alliance
Local Alliances in Somerset take action on dementia and work together to build Dementia Friendly Communities. If you would like to get involved with an Alliance or set up a new one in your area, please get in touch with the Regional Lead.

Dementia Friends
Dementia Friends aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts, and talks about dementia. From telling friends about the Dementia Friends programme, visiting someone you know living with dementia, attending a face-to-face Information Session, or watching the online video, every action counts.
