Purpose of the Processing:

The personal data you provide is used to enable the council to process applications, including maintaining the Planning Register. This includes making the planning register available to be viewed both in the council offices and online and maintaining an archive of historic planning applications.

Please note: Information and data can come to the Council from Applicants and Agents as well as third parties, such as the Planning Portal, iapply and the Planning Inspectorate. We also receive comments, representations, allegations, complaints and questions via email, letter, phone and through our website.

This privacy notice applies to data being processed by the council which has been provided both directly to the council and via third parties.

  • Land Ownership (Certificate)
  • Financial Information
  • Photos and Images

During the course of an application, the following information may be submitted:

  • Ethnic Origin (including Nationality)
  • Politics
  • Religion
  • Health (mental or physical)
  • Sexual life or sexual orientation

How Long Will the Data Be Kept For

We are required to keep all documents relating to planning applications permanently, except the following:

  • Representations from neighbours/Parish/Town/City Councils: 5 years from decision
  • Formal consultation Responses: 15 years
