West Somerset Railway
Description
The West Somerset Railway is England’s longest standard gauge steam railway nestled in the Somerset countryside just 4 miles outside the County town of Taunton. There are 10 idyllic stations to explore along the route all offering a nostalgic and authentic backdrop for any filming requirements. Our heritage locomotive-hauled services take passengers through the Quantock Hills an area of outstanding natural beauty and along the coast from Bishops Lydeard, Crowcombe Heathfield, Stogumber, Williton, Doniford Halt, Watchet, Washford, Blue Anchor, Dunster and Minehead. Services run for most of the year from March till November with a Christmas programme taking place over the latter part of November and December.
