Wells Town Hall

Description
In the centre of the city, the town hall was the first civic building in the market place and is very close to Wells Cathedral and the high street. Features include tall sash windows on the ground floor, a symmetrical main frontage with nine bays facing the market place. The cells remain from when the town hall contained the court house. The magistrate’s court operated here until 2010.
