Description
A picturesque coastal town with a working harbour and active marina and nearby beaches.
The harbour West Quay and esplanade are Somerset Council owned, the West Quay featuring an unusual 22ft tall cast iron, red hexagonal lighthouse. The East Quay is managed by a social Enterprise – the Onion Collective – and home to gallery space, shops and themed accommodation ‘pods’ in former shipping containers.
There are also pebble beach on either side of the harbour. West Beach/Watchet Beach and Helwell Bay/Fossil Bay.
