Ham Hill Country Park
Description
A nationally important Historic Monument, it is one of the largest Iron Age hillforts in the UK. Offers fantastic views across the South Somerset Levels to the Mendips, Exmoor and beyond. Today, as well as, the 88.1 hectare Scheduled Ancient Monument, it offers beautiful wildflower meadows, spectacular wildlife, fascinating geology and striking Iron Age rampart archaeology.

Access | Width restrictions into main car parks. Most not accessible with a large trailer or lorry. |
Access restrictions | Some land at Ham Hill is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall (the Northern Spur area that leads to the war memorial and stone circle and Hedgecock Woods). Filming in these areas needs direct consent from the Land Agent at the Duchy of Cornwall and this must be in place before filming starts. The Duchy can be contacted after discussions with Rachael Whaites. There is also a working quarry in the Northern Spur area and access may be limited to this area at times. The country park is available on most days throughout the year. There may be restrictions on some footpaths or areas when rangers are undertaking work or there are events on. Please check in advance. |

Parking | There are six public car parks situated across the site and are all accessible off the Ham Hill Road (TA14 6RW). There is disabled parking at the ranger centre (TA14 6RW). |
