Description
With nearly 900 years of history Forde Abbey is a must see, the main house ranges from Medieval to Victorian providing something for most historical periods. We are home to the fabulous Mortlake Tapestries, many impressive plastered ceilings, large fire places, bedrooms with four poster beds dating back to 1714, grand rooms such as the Great hall and the Saloon, a stunning ham stone Cloisters, beautiful Chapel and many original features. Externally we have 30 acres of award-winning gardens including the kitchen garden, still worked today and 3 large ponds. Farm land with traditional out buildings and woodlands are also available.
