East Somerset Railway
Description
A 5-mile long, charity-run heritage steam railway based at Cranmore, near Shepton Mallet, based on 1940s GWR with authentic buildings and platforms. Round-trip journey takes approx. 35 minutes. Variety of steam locomotives and passenger trains for formal travel and dining, diesel locomotives and rolling stock.
Accessible engine shed and workshop area, waiting room, ticket office, signal box and museum.
We have a large, free car park with disabled spaces. There is ramp access to the platform and wheelchair accessible seating on the train.
