Description
A six-mile stretch of sandy beach and mudflats between Burnham-on-Sea and Brean, with grass and dunes in places. A popular holiday destination.
The remains of the SS Nornen is visible at low tide.

Access | There is access to the Berrow Dunes Local Nature Reserve from Berrow Beach. Mud is exposed as the tide recedes which is a major hazard. |
Access restrictions | The beach is accessed via a gated entrance. This is open Summer Season Easter to September 10am – 6pm and throughout October 10am – 5pm. Throughout the winter months November – Easter, open at weekends 10am – 3pm and Bank holiday (shut Christmas Day). Access during or outside of those hours subject to discussion and approval. Please note: Times of opening may vary due to the height of tides |

Parking | Hard standing parking for around 30 cars just outside the beach car park. Brean Beach car park is parking on the sand and can accept about 500 cars. |
