Ashton Windmill
Description
Ashton Windmill is a Grade II* Listed Building constructed circa 1832. The windmill is a circular four-storey white washed stone rubble structure, with a contoured weather boarded roof, feature sails and hardwood doors and boarded windows. Internally the windmill
comprises of original upper timber floor structures, grinding mechanisms and corn storage bays.
External areas are limited to an off road car parking area, natural stone paving flag pathway/ hardstanding’s and public benches.
The Ashton Windmill is non-operational and is now operated as a tourist attraction between the months of April to September.
