Alfoxton Park House
Description
Alfoxton Park Trust owns the Alfoxton Park estate and was established to restore it as a Buddhist eco-retreat centre with an arts and cultural focus. The house and walled garden are Grade II listed, for both their architectural and historical interest. The estate is made of an old English manor house, dilapidated but still in working order, set in 52 acres of ancient woodland including a 900 year old oak tree. It was once home to William Wordsworth.
