Introduction

Our Enforcement Officers and Dog Wardens investigate and enforce environmental offences like dog fouling, litter, fly tipping, graffiti and fly posting.

Environmental Offences (Fixed Penalties) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2023 became effective on 31 of July 2023. It’s used to address low-level environmental crime and anti-social behaviour that have an impact on our neighbourhood.

Fixed Penalty Notices are one of several enforcement tools used to tackle environmental crime and to change offending behaviour. They are used as an alternative to prosecution proceedings in the Magistrates Court.
