Introduction

You can pay your Council Tax in different ways.

  • by Direct Debit
  • over the phone
  • online
  • via bank transfer
  • by standing order

You can pay your Council Tax in 10 monthly payments between April and January.

You can also ask to pay your bill over 12 months between April and March.

Your payment must reach us by the 1st day of the month it is due, unless you pay by Direct Debit.

We will tell you the amounts you need to pay at the bottom of your bill. If you find it difficult to pay by the dates shown on your bill or want to check the amount you need to pay, please contact us.

You can pay online using a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card.

Internet, phone banking or standing order

Use your own internet banking service to set up regular payments to us. Quote the account number shown on your bill. Our bank details are:

At the Post Office

You can pay your Council Tax at any Post Office using your Council Tax payment card. Always keep your receipt as proof of payment.

If you want a Council Tax card we can send you one. Please contact us to request a card.
