SEND Local Offer accessibility

To make sure Somerset’s SEND Local Offer is accessible to everyone, we focus on helping people to get there by removing barriers to view the Local Offer website.

Anyone can phone us on 0300 123 2224 to ask questions about their child’s education or care.

The Contact Centre staff have been trained to

  • signpost and mentor callers with the use of the Local Offer website
  • spot vulnerable adults who may qualify for a volunteer to help them use Somerset’s SEND Local Offer website
  • directly transfer people to Citizen’s Advice

They are looking to transfer people directly to other strategic partners.
