Teachers can use the questionnaires below when they have concerns about a child or young person’s hearing ability.

  • Secondary – S.I.F.T.E.R – Sound Skills free to access
  • Complete self-audit tools or the classroom and school environment, free to access
  • Information and resources can be found on the Hearing Support Team Section of the Support Services for Education website
  • Discuss concerns with parents and encourage them to make a doctor’s appointment for referral to audiology
  • Consider if the child or young person also had their eyes checked
