Movers into Somerset from other areas

Families of children and young people on the neurodevelopmental pathway who move into Somerset from other areas will have their assessment paperwork transferred from their former area to Somerset.

Children or young people who have moved into Somerset will have access to support as described in the pre-assessment pathway, until their assessment is completed.

Somerset will look at where in the process the former area was, to inform whether this process can be continued from where it got to, or whether a brand new assessment process is required to start.

Waiting times vary between areas. Somerset will assess based on the referral date recorded from your former area, not the date your assessment paperwork is received in Somerset.

Movers out of Somerset

Families of children and young people on the neurodevelopmental pathway who are leaving Somerset should contact the CYPNP Advice Line to confirm that they are moving so that the assessment paperwork can be transferred to the new NHS Trust or relevant partnership.
