Notify Us Of An Exclusion

Schools should use this form to notify us of suspensions and exclusions.

The form is 2 pages long and should take around 3 minutes to complete. You will need the following information:

  • the child’s contact details
  • details of suspension or exclusion.

Report child-on-child discrimination

Education settings should report incidents of child-on-child discrimination between children aged 4-18 relating to any of the following categories:

  • race
  • disability
  • sex
  • sexual orientation
  • faith and belief
  • gender reassignment
  • gender fluidity

Incidents should be reported following any initial response required by the school and other support services.  The information provided will support Somerset Council to better understand the scale and impact of discrimination among our children and young people.  It will be reviewed regularly by Education Safeguarding who will analyse data trends and advise on how support around discrimination can be improved.

You will need the following information:

  • details of the incident
  • details of the perpetrators
  • details of the victims.
