Term dates and holidays for this school year
These dates apply to Community and Voluntary Controlled schools. Academies, Voluntary Aided, Foundation and Free Schools can set their own term dates and holidays, although most align their dates with ours.
Each year a total of 195 school days are identified and all schools can choose 5 INSET days which best suit them – pupils attend school for 190 days each year. It is the responsibility of each school to notify its parents and staff of which dates have been identified for INSET days.
